Community Guidelines & Acceptable Use

These Community Guidelines set out the rules for everything you post on BullBearStock, including threads and comments. They apply to all user-generated content and complement our Terms of Service. Our goal is a respectful, lawful, and genuinely educational community where people can discuss markets and learn from one another in good faith. By posting on the platform you agree to follow these guidelines.

1. Purpose and scope

These guidelines apply to all user-generated content on the platform, including threads, comments, replies, profile information, and any other text or material you submit. They sit alongside, and do not replace, our Terms of Service; where the two overlap, both apply. The purpose is simple: to keep BullBearStock a respectful, lawful, and educational space focused on financial markets and learning. Following these rules is a condition of using the social features of the platform.

2. What we expect from you

Be respectful and assume good faith. Engage with ideas, not people, and keep discussion on topic, focused on markets, trading, investing, and financial education. Disagreement is welcome when it is constructive and civil. Critique arguments rather than attacking the person making them, give others the benefit of the doubt, and remember there is a real person behind every account. Keep your contributions relevant to the thread you are posting in.

3. Prohibited content and conduct

The following are not allowed anywhere on the platform: illegal content of any kind, or content that promotes or facilitates illegal activity; harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, or content that attacks people based on protected characteristics; spam, repetitive posting, and unsolicited advertising or promotion; impersonating any person or organisation, or misrepresenting your affiliation; doxxing or sharing other people's private or personal data without consent; market manipulation in any form, including pump-and-dump schemes, coordinated "ramping", artificially talking a position up or down, and posting fake or misleading trading signals; misleading financial claims, in particular presenting any outcome as a guaranteed or risk-free return; malware, phishing links, or other content designed to compromise or defraud other users; and sexually explicit, graphically violent, or otherwise gratuitously disturbing content. This list is illustrative, not exhaustive.

4. Posts are not investment advice

Content posted by users represents their personal opinions only. It is not investment advice, a personal recommendation, or any form of professional financial advice from BullBearStock, and it must not be presented as such. Do not describe your posts as professional, licensed, or guaranteed financial advice, and do not imply that BullBearStock endorses your views. Everyone is responsible for their own decisions; always do your own research and, where appropriate, consult a licensed professional. For the platform's position, see our disclaimer.

5. Moderation and enforcement

We enforce these guidelines to protect the community. Where content or conduct breaches these rules, we may, depending on the severity and context, remove or hide the content, issue a warning, restrict certain features, suspend the account, or terminate it. We aim to make enforcement decisions that are proportionate to the breach, and we may act more quickly and firmly where content is illegal or poses a risk to other users. Repeated or serious violations may lead to permanent removal from the platform without prior warning.

6. Reporting content (notice and action)

If you see content that breaches these guidelines or that you believe is illegal, please tell us so we can act. Use the in-app report option available on any thread or comment, or email us at contact@bullbearstock.com. When reporting, describe what the content is, where it appears, and why you believe it breaks the rules or is unlawful, this helps us review it quickly. We review all reports and take appropriate action, and we prioritise and act on illegal content. This email address is also our designated point of contact for notices about illegal content under the EU Digital Services Act "notice and action" framework; we will acknowledge such notices and respond without undue delay.

7. Changes to these guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time as the platform evolves or as legal requirements change. The current version always appears on this page, and we will refresh the "Last updated" date above when we make changes. Where changes are material, we will post them here so that you can review them. Your continued use of the social features after an update means you accept the revised guidelines.
